When transffered 1000 USD bankwire, does it equal out to 980 on the received end?

I sent 1000 USD via bankwire to a account.


This person says he sees a 980, and was wondering if this is mine. Is it possible they took out 20 dollars as a transaction fee and got the money less than 1000? thanks.|||Yes, they took 20 for the wire transfer fee.
