How could the economy possibly get better with the nation's debt plus the inevitable devaluation of the USD?

I mean seriously, how could anyone be fooled into thinking our economy is going to recover? Yeah, you may have a job right now, but do you realize that once the USD loses its top spot as the world reserve currency, the prices of imports are going to skyrocket?





You do realize that if all US citizens were taxed 100% of their income, it wouldn't even balance the nation's deficit? In short, were screwed, and the media is saying nothing about it.





Here is my question, why do you think the economy is going to improve?|||Certainly, if everyone adopts as pessimistic an attitude as yours, our economy will fail. But hey, if you really feel that devaluation of the USD is "inevitable," buy some other currency. Which one do you think will do better? The yuan? The euro? The British pound? Have at it.|||The only way it could improve would be for government to seriously cut spending. As long as Democrats are in charge of the Senate, and as long as Obama is in office, it won't happen. The economy is going to keep getting worse. These are the end times, and the Bible warns of this.|||Because businesses are doing better almost all across the board.





Just look at the quarterly earnings. The trend is PROFITs all around.


They just aren't hiring. They don't need to.





Slow growth is better than a retracting economy any day. Thanks for Obama, we have that now.|||I do not.


I think what we see is the illusion of improvement as the Bubble to end all Bubbles inflates.


As we all know the Bubbles pop and this last one will be a doozy.|||It will be a long road back from the mess we are in. The first two steps are to cut government spending across the board and to kill Soetorocare.|||Because I believe in America and that we will not let ourselves die.|||china says holding the debt limit hostage is "playing with fire."|||I don't.


I think the economy is going to get much, much worse.|||I have no idea how the economy is going to improve.



And so what. Yeah we're going to hell, are you going to quit your job? March on Washington? Be sure and write us about how that works out for you.



I know for certain how it's NOT going to improve. Giving the rich more tax breaks will not improve the economy, that's for dam sure. You've been giving them tax breaks for thirty years already. That's a big part of how we got into this mess in the first place.



Continuing the war in the mideast sure as hell isn't going to do anything for the economy. That's been going on for coming up on ten years now.



And if you're big on cuts in spending, are you going to start with defense? Because those fools have been pulling down over a trillion a year for some time now. Oh but you've a got a real good explanation for that don't you.
